Republicans Admit Trump Lost The Debate
Today, a friend of the show, Trygve Olson, joins us. A few days after the debate, it's safe to say Vice President Kamala Harris shut out Donald Trump in front of over 67 million people on every question answered, so much so that VP Harris received an endorsement from one of the world's most famous people, Taylor Swift. Joe explains how Harris was more prepared than Trump and shows an apparent contrast between the two.

Trump's Legacy: Violence in American Elections
Rick talks to Peter Simi, a sociology professor and expert in extremism, about the alarming rise of white supremacy in the U.S., where the movement has evolved from the overt image of the Klan to a slick, social media-driven force. Simi highlights how figures like Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson amplify these ideologies and how younger generations are being recruited online. He emphasizes the need for intervention programs to help individuals leave the movement and combat its growing influence. Buy Peter Simi’s book – “Out of Hiding: Extremist White Supremacy and How It Can be Stopped” – at fine bookstores everywhere.

Report from the Field: Lifting Democracy in a Blue State
David Pepper writes, "One of the most damaging consequences of the narrative that our battle for democracy is only a federal contest, playing out in just a few swing states, is that it leaves the false impression that most of America isn’t involved in that battle."

Presidential Debate - 1st Showdown Between Harris and Trump
The folks at Fox desperately tried to spin Trump’s disastrous debate performance. Dana Perino and Brit Hume openly admitted that Trump had a bad night. Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters and Sean Hannity refused to accept reality. It was a night of dashed expectations, delusions and broken dreams for Fox News.

According to Fox News: Kamala Harris is A Flip Flopping Fading Fabulist
Plastic straws! Fake accents! Non-existent bans on fracking! A local Fox News affiliate debunked its parent company! Nebraska Walzes for Trump haven’t even met Tim Walz! Fox News hosts pretended Kamala Harris has plummeted in the polls even when she hadn’t. Jesse Watters bragged about sounding like Russian propaganda. Vladimir Putin would be so Proud. Steve Doocy repeats a hateful myth about American Muslims and Pete Hegseth was shocked when an Israeli American said that Israelis want a return of every hostage, and end to the conflict and the end of Benjamin Netanyahu’s failed strategy. I threw in a silly impression at the very end.

Rick is joined by Whitney Fox, a local candidate running for Congress in Florida’s 13th district, to discuss her campaign’s focus on affordable housing, healthcare, and the rising cost of homeowners insurance in Florida. They criticize her opponent, Ana Paulina Luna, for following the radical MAGA playbook, prioritizing culture wars and media attention over the needs of local Floridians. Luna, often compared to Boebert, doesn’t even live in Florida—she resides in California. Follow Whitney Fox on X @whitfox and donate to her Congressional campaign at whitneyfoxforcongress.com. Fox News Desperately Searches for a 'Tan Suit' for Harris/Walz But Comes up Empty
Fox News was desperate for some kind of scandal to help boost Trump’s presidential campaign. Fox tried to boost RFK Jr.’s endorsement of Trump, Mark Zuckerberg wrote a letter to Jim Jordan, Kamala Harris had an interview with her running mate, Joe Biden somehow controlled Trump’s DOJ, and finally Kamala Harris stranded astronauts in space. Absolutely nothing stuck but that wasn’t going to stop anyone at Fox from insisting all of these stories were life and death important.
